  3.    README.TXT: LETTERHEAD.PRO FOR WORDPERFECT FOR WINDOWS - BBS INSTALLATION

  6.  THE BBS INSTALLATION IS AN "ANYWHERE TO ANYWHERE" INSTALL PROGRAM. AFTER THE
  7.  BBS FILE IS UNZIPPED, YOU MAY INSTALL THE PROGRAM FROM ANY DRIVE OR DIRECTORY
  8.  ON YOUR COMPUTER TO THE APPROPRIATE WORDPERFECT DIRECTORY.  
  9.  
  10.  Thank for your interest in Letterhead Pro. This program will install 16 
  11.  graphic sample letterheads, 6 logos, and 1 watermark into WordPerfect for 
  12.  Windows (All Versions). Each letterhead will also have a macro that installs
  13.  the letterhead into any WordPerfect document. Of course, you must have 
  14.  WordPerfect for Windows installed prior to the installation of Letterhead Pro.

  16.  The installation program is in two stages, DOS and Windows. The INSTALL 
  17.  program MUST be started from DOS by typing INSTALL in the directory or drive
  18.  where you have UNZIPPED or copied the files. Do NOT call up Windows and execute
  19.  the RUN command. After completing the DOS portion of the installation, Windows 
  20.  will be called up and the installation will be completed. WordPerfect for
  21.  Windows will automatically be called with README.DOC on screen.

  23.  README.DOC contains instructions on how to use Letterhead Pro. You will be
  24.  shown how to order your own customized letterhead, logo, and watermark. It is
  25.  a WordPerfect document and must be viewed and printed from inside WordPerfect.
  26.  
  27.  You should print README.DOC so you may use it as a guide when displaying and
  28.  printing the Letterhead Pro letterhead examples. The document is set up using 
  29.  COURIER 10cpi typeface so that it would print the order form and other items
  30.  correctly on almost any printer. Although this may not be your favorite font,
  31.  please use it for the README.DOC file. You will be shown how you may obtain 
  32.  your own customized graphic letterheads for WordPerfect for Windows. All
  33.  instructions, worksheets, and order forms are included. If you only want to
  34.  copy your current letterhead into a graphic image for WordPerfect, it is 
  35.  necessary to read and print README.DOC.
  36.  
  37.  You may design your own letterhead, convert your present printed letterhead,
  38.  or have CPI Software design a letterhead for you. CPI Software will place this
  39.  design into a graphic PCX format, add a macro, and return it to you.
  40.  
  41.  If the printer you are currently using will print WordPerfect graphics, it
  42.  will print graphical PCX letterheads. This includes laserjets, ink jets, and 
  43.  dot-matrix printers. You do NOT need special printer drivers or any add-ons to
  44.  place a customized professionally created letterhead on all your WordPerfect
  45.  documents. WordPerfect for Windows and Letterhead Pro are all you need.
  46.  
  47.  Before starting the installation, refresh yourself on whether you used the
  48.  Standard or Custom installation when installing WordPerfect for Windows. If
  49.  you do not remember, then locate the path to the macro files, graphic files,
  50.  and WordPerfect document files. Use the Custom installation for Letterhead Pro
  51.  and type in the path data when prompted.
  52.  
  53.                                   INSTALLATION
  54.  
  55.  Letterhead Pro may be installed in one of three ways. It may also be removed
  56.  from your hard disk (uninstalled) using the CLEANUP command below.
  57.  
  58.  1. Standard Installation:
  59.  
  60.  The installation corresponds to the WordPerfect for Windows Standard
  61.  installation. This installation program placed the macros into the 
  62.  \WPWIN\MACROS directory, and the graphics in the \WPWIN\GRAPHICS directory.
  63.  The document files are in the \WPWIN directory. If you did not make any
  64.  changes in the directory locations since installing WordPerfect with the
  65.  Standard installation, then this is the method of choice.
  66.  
  67.  Start the installation by typing INSTALL (and strike the ENTER key) in the 
  68.  drive or directory where you have unzipped or copied the program files. Follow
  69.  the on-screen instructions.
  70.  
  71.  2. Custom Installation:
  72.  
  73.  This installation will let you place the document file, the macros, and the
  74.  graphics into any directory you wish. You must know the path to each of these
  75.  directories. For example, if you placed all documents into a directory named
  76.  "DOC" off the main "WPWIN" directory on drive "C", then this would be the full
  77.  path:
  78.  
  79.                                C:\WPWIN\DOC                           
  80.  
  81.  You will be asked: a. the drive letter, b. the path for document files, c. the
  82.  path for macro files (files ending with .WCM), and c. the path for graphic
  83.  files (files ending with .WPG). If you are not sure how you had installed
  84.  WordPerfect, then use this method. Locate these files before the installation,
  85.  and write down their proper path. Even if you used the Standard WordPerfect
  86.  installation, this method would work if you know where the files are located.

  88.  Start the installation by typing INSTALL (and strike the ENTER key) in the 
  89.  drive or directory where you have unzipped or copied the program files. Follow
  90.  the on-screen instructions.
  91.  
  92.  3. Manual Installation:
  93.  
  94.  This method does not use the Letterhead Pro INSTALL program, but it must be
  95.  done exactly as follows: 
  96.  
  97.  a. Locate where the WordPerfect document files, macro files, and  graphic
  98.     files are on your hard disk. 
  99.     
  100.  b. From the location where you have unzipped or copied the program files,
  101.     copy these files into the proper directory:
  102.  
  103.            1. PROWIN.EXE and ZAP.EXE into the documents directory.
  104.            2. MACROS.EXE and ZAP.EXE into the macros directory. 
  105.            3. GRAPHICS.EXE and ZAP.EXE into the graphics directory.
  106.  
  107.  c. PROWIN.EXE, MACROS.EXE, GRAPHICS.EXE, and ZAP.EXE are self-extracting 
  108.     files. You need only to type their names and strike the ENTER key, and
  109.     the Letterhead Pro file(s) will be extracted from them. If there are any
  110.     files that have the same names as the files in the EXE file, you will be
  111.     asked if you want to replace them with the Letterhead Pro files.
  112.  
  113.  d. ZAP.EXE should be in every directory where any Letterhead Pro files are
  114.     located. This contains the file CLEANUP.EXE that is used to remove all
  115.     Letterhead Pro files from the directory (see below) at a later time.
  116.  
  117.  e. After extracting all files from the above EXE files, call up Windows and
  118.     click on the WordPerfect icon. After WordPerfect comes up, retrieve or open 
  119.     the README.DOC file. Read and print the README.DOC file as instructed.

  121.                          UNINSTALLING LETTERHEAD PRO
  122.  
  123.  The installation places the file CLEANUP.EXE into every directory where 
  124.  Letterhead Pro files have been placed. When you wish to remove all installed
  125.  Letterhead Pro files, simply go into the directories where you have installed
  126.  files and type:

  128.                        CLEANUP   and strike the ENTER key
  129.  
  130.  You will be asked if you want to uninstall all Letterhead Pro files in that
  131.  directory. Press the ENTER key and all installed files will be deleted, 
  132.  including CLEANUP.EXE.
